Atsuyo et Akiko

I'm loving the range of French and vintage-inspired kids wares over at Atsuyo et Akiko. A little bit kooky, a little bit cute and a whole lotta lovely.

Saltwater Sandals

Anyone else in love with Saltwater Sandals? I just bought a navy pair for our little man and I'm smitten. Hard-wearing, comfy and totally adorable, with a retro 70's kinda feel, they're everyday Summer fabulous. Oh and here's a heads-up Mamas, they're uber cool for grown-ups too.

Alfie & Nina

As the weather warms-up for another Aussie Summer, the search begins again for UV friendly (and retina friendly!) swimwear. In the past, I've actually found it quite a challenge to find kids swimwear that fits both these pre-requisites. That is, until I stumbled upon Alfie & Nina. Their range of swimwear in beautifully muted hues, include fabulous vintage-inspired styles, simple cuts and gorgeous screen prints, all in durable UPF 50+ fabrics. Perfection.

Petit chic

As the lovely Louise over at Table Tonic so aptly put it, "If I was a 5 year old in the year 2009, this is for sure what I would have been wearing". It just goes to show, you're never too young to be chic... oh, and a Burberry trench works at any age.

Native shoes

I recently bought a pair of Native shoes for my son on a whim and I must say they've been nothing short of brilliant. Washable (I bought them in white!), durable, breathable and downright easy to put on, they're perfect for the beach, pool, playground, you name it. In a bevvy of cute colours and styles - with not even a hint of Crocs (am I the only person that finds them a bit uncool?) - it's a no-brainer really.

10 Years of Country Road Kids

I rather loved this retrospective that retail giant Country Road recently released, documenting 10 years of Country Road Kids. Beautiful kids, beautiful photography, beautiful clothes.

Bonpoint

When it comes to children's clothing, the French have really got it nailed. Beautiful, timeless designs, sublime fabrics and always with a nod to the finer details - like buttons on pant cuffs, embroidery on collars and delicate prints in muted hues. Legendary French label Bonpoint is no exception. Their Autumn/Winter range is just about as divine as it gets, and in cotton, cashmere and wool shearling no less. Parfait.
